What Knock AI actually does
Knock AI sits on your website and monitors visitor behavior. When a visitor matches your ICP and shows intent (viewing pricing, spending time on a solution page, filling a form), Knock engages — either via a chat window, a callback offer, or a proactive outbound email within minutes of the site session.
The autonomous piece is the differentiator. Instead of routing every conversation to a human, Knock qualifies, handles common objections, and books meetings directly on your reps' calendars. Humans see the meeting on their calendar, not the chat transcript.
What it does better than everyone else
Three things stand out in our testing:
- Account identification. Knock resolves anonymous visitors to accounts faster and more accurately than any competitor we tested — 71% identification rate versus 58% for Qualified.
- Conversation quality. The agent asks two or three qualifying questions before offering a meeting, so the meetings that get booked are actually qualified.
- Time to first response. Median 8 seconds in our test, versus 12 seconds for Qualified and 47 seconds for Drift.
"The first month, Knock booked 40% more meetings than our previous chat vendor, and 60% of them turned into opps. That's the number I care about."
Where it trails
Reporting is thinner than Qualified. If you're an analyst who wants pivoted funnel views out of the box, Knock's dashboards will frustrate you.
Marketplace integrations are still catching up — the direct Salesforce and HubSpot writes are excellent, but if you use a niche CRM or marketing automation platform, verify the integration before signing.
Enterprise procurement package is newer. SOC 2 Type II is in place, but expect procurement to ask questions Qualified answered five years ago.
Who should buy Knock AI
Companies with meaningful inbound traffic (5k+ visits/month), a defined ICP, and a sales team that's frustrated by slow speed-to-lead. Series B through Series D is the sweet spot.
Skip if: you're pre-PMF, you have less than 3k monthly visits, or your CRM is a custom in-house build.
Pricing and how to negotiate
Typical annual: $30–50k for a mid-market deployment. Priced on captured meetings and visitor volume. Ask for a 90-day performance clause tied to meetings booked from qualified accounts.
